CR 33 begins at NY 304 in Pearl River and runs east as a two-lane undivided road. This first section is known as Central Avenue.

Central Avenue intersects Middletown Road at a traffic light. Turn left to stay on CR 33. Central Avenue continues straight ahead as a local street.

There is a traffic light at New Hempstead Road (CR 80). Turn right to go east or left to go west.

Central Highway ends at a traffic light at West Ramapo Road (US 202). Turn right to go east and to stay on CR 33. Turn left to go west.

After one block, CR 33 splits off from West Ramapo Road (US 202) and turns onto Main Street, which runs north as a two-lane undivided.

There is a traffic light at Railroad Avenue (CR 94). Turn right to go east or left to go west. Main Street changes names here to become Central Highway again.
