There is a traffic light at CR 4. Turn right onto Post Avenue to go north or left onto Merrick Avenue to go south.

The area between Merrick Avenue (CR 4) and Glen Cove Road (CR 1) is a large commercial development in which Old Country Road is the main road. Old Country Road widens to six lane in this area. There is a traffic light at Merchants Concourse and Ellison Avenue.

Zeckendorf Boulevard (CR 260) begins on the left at a traffic light. An overhead signs informs driver that turning here provides access to the Meadowbrook Parkway southbound and the Roosevelt Field shopping mall.

Old Country Road continues west slightly further and then ends. At the western terminus, all vehicles must either turn left onto Rockaway Avenue or continue straight around the curve onto Herricks Road (CR 8).
