Old Country Road begins at Herricks Road (CR 8) and Rockaway Avenue in Garden City Park and runs east through Mineola as a four-lane undivided road.

County Seat Drive is to the right at the first traffic light. Willis Avenue begins on the left at the second traffic light, but left turns are prohibited here.

There is a traffic light at CR 7A. Turn left onto Roslyn Road to go north or right onto Washington Avenue to go south.

An overhead sign instructs drivers to turn left at the third traffic light to go north on Glen Cove Road (CR 1). Turn right to go south on Clinton Road (CR 1). A large shopping center called the Country Glen Center is to the left at the second traffic light.

The area between Glen Cove Road (CR 1) and Merrick Avenue (CR 4) is a large commercial development. Turn right as the traffic light to enter the Roosevelt Field shopping mall.

There is a traffic light at CR 4. Turn left onto Post Avenue to go north. Turn right onto Merrick Avenue to go south.

Old Country Road runs along the northern boundary of Eisenhower Park. The right lane becomes an exit only lane for Salisbury Park Drive. Eisenhower Park was formerly known as Salisbury Park, explaining the name of this street.
