Cross Island Parkway
Northbound Views
Ramps from the Belt Parkway and the Southern Parkway merge to form the Cross Island Parkway. Belmont Racetrack may be accessed through either one of the two exits for it or through Hempstead Avenue (NY 24).

The exit numbers on the Cross Island Parkway begin where the exit numbers on the Belt Parkway end. Exit 26A is for Belmont Racetrack. Exit 26B is for Hempstead Avenue (NY 24).

The parkway runs north along the water. There is a paved bicycle path that runs parallel to this section. It can be accessed via exit 32.

The Cross Island Parkway ends at I-678. Exit 36N is for the Whitestone Bridge (I-678) north. Exit 36S is for the Whitestone Expressway (I-678) south. All traffic must use one of these two exits.
