The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Hudson River to Westchester County.

There was once a tollbooth here, but it was removed after cashless tolling on the bridge began in 2016. Exit 9 is for Broadway (US 9).

Exit 8 is for the Cross Westchester Expressway (I-287) west. The I-87/I-287 multiplex ends at this point. Motorists bound for New England should exit here and follow I-287 to the Connecticut Turnpike (I-95). Motorists bound for New York City should continue south along the Thruway. Exit 8A is for NY 119 and the Saw Mill Parkway north.

After I-287 splits off, the Thruway curves back to the south. At this point, the city line is only a few miles away. Exit 7A is for the Saw Mill Parkway south.

The final toll on the Thruway is located south of exit 7A. Exit 6A is for Stew Leonard Drive and Ridge Hill Boulevard. It is located immediately after the toll.
