The divider ends and the road narrows down to two lanes. There is a railroad crossing at the Oyster Bay Branch of the Long Island Rail Road.

The two-lane undivided section is called East Williston Avenue. It is locally maintained by the Nassau County Department of Public Works (NCDPW) and also carries the designation of CR 85. There is a traffic light at Roslyn Road (CR 7A). Turn left to go north or right to go south.

The locally maintained CR 85 section ends and the name changes back to Hillside Avenue. The road widens to become a four-lane divided road again. There is an overpass over the Northern Parkway, but there is no entrance or exit. On the other side, there is a traffic light at Glen Cove Road (CR 1). Turn left to go north. Turn right to go south and for access to the parkway.

Hillside Avenue ends here, narrowing down to a single lane and merging into Jericho Turnpike (NY 25).
