The Wilbur Cross Highway (I-84) merges in from the right to form a four-lane roadway that narrows back down to three lanes. There is a state police station on the right.

There is a long gap between exit 78 and exit 90. There is a cashless tolling gantry toward the beginning of this distance.

Exit 14 is for I-95/MA 128. After the exit, there is a toll barrier. All motorists who do not have Fast Lane or E-ZPass must hand in their tickets and pay a toll depending on how far they have travelled.
