The ramp for exit 9 when travelling south ends at a traffic light at West Chester Pike (PA 3). Turn left to go east or right to go west.

Vehicles entering at exit 56 pass through a tollbooth where motorists who do not have E-ZPass must take a ticket indicating where they got on the turnpike. After the tollbooth, the ramp splits. Bear left to go north or right to go south.

Vehicles leaving the turnpike at exit 95 pass through a tollbooth. Motorists who do not have E-ZPass must hand in their tickets and pay a toll depending on how far they have travelled. After the tollbooth, there is a traffic light at PA 940. Turn left to go east or right to go west. Continue straight ahead for an entrance to the Keystone Shortway (I-80).
