Eastbound Views
The Prospect Expressway begins at the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (I-278) and runs southeast through Brooklyn. The first exit in this direction is exit 4, which is for 10 Avenue and 11 Avenue. Trucks wishing to follow NY 27 east must exit here and follow 10 Avenue and McDonald Avenue to Church Avenue.

Exit 5 is for Fort Hamilton Parkway. Motorists wishing to follow NY 27 east beyond the end of the expressway must exit here and follow East 5 Street to Caton Avenue.

Exit 6 is for Church Avenue west. The Prospect Expressway ends just ahead at a traffic light. Ocean Parkway is straight ahead. NY 27 continues to the left onto Church Avenue. However, left turns are not permitted here. Motorists wishing to follow NY 27 east must have left the expressway back at exit 5 and followed East 5 Street to Caton Avenue.
