In Dix Hills, Deer Park Road (CR 35) and East Deer Park Road (CR 66) merge together to become NY 231. Immediately, there is an interchange with the Northern Parkway.

Straight Path (CR 2) begins on the right at this traffic light. Here in the Town of Huntington, it is also known as Seamans Neck Road, although the overhead sign at this intersection only gives the name Straight Path.

Welcome to the Town of Babylon! At the town line, Deer Park Road becomes Deer Park Avenue.

Just south of the Southern Parkway, Deer Park Avenue splits off to the right as CR 34. NY 231 continues south to the left as the Babylon-Northport Expressway.
