Seven Lakes Drive begins at Orange Turnpike (NY 17) in Sloatsburg. The first section is shown in state documents as Seven Lakes Road and has a different reference route number, but it is signed as part of Seven Lakes Drive.

After the circle, Seven Lakes Drive runs northeast. A sign instructs motorists to continue straight ahead for US 9W and the Bear Mountain Bridge (US 6/US 202).
