Veterans Highway passes over the Main Line of the Long Island Rail Road. Immediately after the overpass, Suffolk Avenue (CR 100) begins on the left at a traffic light. Old Nichols Road begins on the right.

Veterans Highway runs east through Hauppauge. It is designated NY 347/NY 454 in this area.

There are traffic lights at County Center Road, Old Willets Path, and New Highway.

The roadway splits. Use the left two lanes for the Northern Parkway, which begins here. Use the right to stay on Veterans Highway. NY 347 ends here, although there is no signage to indicate so.
