Clove Branch Road ends at a traffic light at Beekman Road (CR 9). Turn left to go north or right to go south. Continue straight ahead onto Carpenter Road to stay on CR 29.

Carpenter Road runs southeast as a two-lane undivided road.

Carpenter Road crosses the Taconic Parkway at an at-grade intersection with a flasher and a stop sign. While it was once possible to drive across the parkway, the median is now closed except for emergency vehicles. All other vehicles must either turn right or turn around here.
