US 40 enters Delaware from New Jersey via the Delaware Memorial Bridge. It follows I-295 and Dupont Parkway (US 13) to New Castle.
US 40 splits off from Dupont Parkway (US 13) and runs west as a four-lane divided highway called Pulaski Highway.
