After a short distance, Pittston Avenue widens to four lanes and becomes a short expressway called the Pittston Bypass. There is a single exit for Hughestown and Dupont.

US 11 is called South Township Boulevard here. There is a traffic light at William Street. Turn right to stay on US 11.

Skipping a little less than a mile, there is a traffic light at the Fort Jenkins Bridge. Turn left onto the bridge to stay on US 11.

On the other side of the bridge, there is an uncontrolled intersection with Susquehanna Avenue. Then, the roadway splits. Bear left onto Wyoming Avenue to stay on US 11. Bear right for Exeter Avenue (PA 92) north.

Wyoming Avenue runs southwest as a two-lane undivided road. There are traffic lights at Erie Avenue, Tunkhannock Avenue, Penn Avenue, Lincoln Street, Schooley Avenue, and Birchwood Village Drive.

Wyoming Avenue widens to four lanes. There are traffic lights at Owen Street, Sunset Court, Durkee Street, Shoemaker Street, River Street, Wesley Street, Dana Street, Ransom Street, Welles Street, and Slocum Street.

After the expressway, there are traffic lights at Church Street, East Bennett Street, West Bennett Street, East Union Street, and West Union Street. Turn right onto West Union Street for an entrance to the expressway south.

Here, US 11 is known as East Main Street. There are traffic lights at Chestnut Street, Carey Avenue, Washington Avenue, Carolina Street, Eno Street, Hanover Street, and Gaylord Avenue.

East Main Street becomes West Main Street. There is a traffic light at Flat Road and Coal Street.

The roadway splits. Bear left for a ramp for the South Cross Valley Expressway (PA 29) south, which extends east from here to I-81. Bear right onto East Poplar Street to stay on US 11, which becomes multiplexed with PA 29 north just past this point.
