After a short distance, Pittston Avenue widens to four lanes and becomes a short expressway called the Pittston Bypass. There is a single exit for Hughestown and Dupont.

Skipping a little less than a mile, there is a traffic light at the Fort Jenkins Bridge. Turn left onto the bridge to stay on US 11.

On the other side of the bridge, there is an uncontrolled intersection with Susquehanna Avenue. Then, the roadway splits. Bear left onto Wyoming Avenue to stay on US 11. Bear right for Exeter Avenue (PA 92) north.

Wyoming Avenue runs southwest as a two-lane undivided road. There are traffic lights at Erie Avenue, Tunkhannock Avenue, Penn Avenue, Lincoln Street, Schooley Avenue, and Birchwood Village Drive.

The roadway splits. Bear left for a ramp for the South Cross Valley Expressway (PA 29) south, which extends east from here to I-81. Bear right onto East Poplar Street to stay on US 11, which becomes multiplexed with PA 29 north just past this point.
