Westchester Avenue changes designation from CR 71 to CR 62 upon crossing South Kensico Avenue in White Plains. It passes under the ramps connecting Bloomingdale Road to the Cross Westchester Expressway (I-287).

The roadway splits. Bear right for North Street (NY 127), which begins here. There is a reassurance shield for NY 119, which is incorrect. While NY 119 once extended east along Westchester Avenue, this section was decommissioned many years ago.

There is an entrance to the Cross Westchester Expressway (I-287) on the left.

For most of its length, Westchester Avenue is the service road of the Cross Westchester Expressway (I-287). There are traffic light at the William L. Butcher Bridge and Bryant Avenue (CR 153).

There is a traffic light as the ramp for exits 9S-N of the Cross Westchester Expressway (I-287) merges in from the left. Immediately thereafter, there is a pair of exits for the Hutchinson Parkway.

CR 62 ends here at a traffic light at NY 120. Turn left onto Purchase Street to go north. Continue straight ahead to go south.
