At the northern tip of Manhattan, Broadway merges with 10 Avenue, which has elevated subway tracks over it. The Broadway Bridge carries Broadway across the Harlem River. It is double-decked, with elevated subway tracks on the upper level and automotive traffic on the lower level.

The bridge touches down in Marble Hill, a tiny neighborhood that is politically part of Manhattan but physically located on the mainland. Broadway quickly crosses the border into the Bronx. There is no signage for the borough line. Turn right at the traffic light at West 230 Street for access to the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87).
