Washington Street begins in Sparkill at the point where Truck NY 340 turns from Main Street onto William Street. It runs west as a two-lane undivided road.

Washington Street ends here at a traffic light. Turn left to go south on Main Street (CR 15). Continue straight ahead onto Old Tappan Road to stay on CR 8 and to go north on CR 15. Kings Highway begins to the right. Route signage is lacking at this intersection.

There is a railroad crossing at a freight line. Immediately thereafter, CR 15 splits off to the right onto Western Highway at a stop sign. Continue straight ahead on Old Tappan Road to stay on CR 8.
