The Cross County Parkway begins at the Saw Mill Parkway in Yonkers. Exit 3 is for Midland Avenue and Yonkers Avenue.

The parkway splits into express and local lanes. Exits 4N-S are for Central Park Avenue (CR 47) and the New York Thruway (I-87).

Exit 9 is for the Hutchinson Parkway south. Bear left to stay on the Cross County Parkway, which ends a short distance ahead and merges into the Hutchinson Parkway north. The Hutchinson Parkway becomes the Merritt Parkway (CT 15) at the New York-Connecticut state line.
