Wiley Road runs west as a four-lane divided highway.

There is an interchange with the New Jersey Turnpike (NJ 700). From here, US 40 is multiplexed with the turnpike and I-295 across the Delaware Memorial Bridge into Delaware. Hawks Bridge Road (NJ 140) is straight ahead. There are a couple of sign goofs here with signs erroneously making reference to US 140 and NJ 40 instead of NJ 140 and US 40.
