There is a pair of exits for Vauxhall Road (CR 630). The first exit provides access to the Garden State Parkway (NJ 444) north. The signage makes it look like the first exit is a direct entrance to the parkway, but this is not the case.

In this area, US 22 splits into a pair of one-way roadways. There are business along the road but no at-grade intersections. A series of turnarounds facilitate accessing the business on the other side.

US 22 continues west to Somerset County. There is a traffic light at Harding Road and an exit for Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Berkeley Heights, and New Providence that provides a connection to I-78.
