Truck US 1/US 9 runs north through Jersey City as a four-lane divided road. There are traffic lights at Duncan Avenue and Halleck Avenue.

There is a traffic light at Newark Avenue. Immediately thereafter, the roadway splits. Bear left for NJ 7. Bear right for Tonnele Avenue (US 1/US 9) and NJ 139.
