I-295 begins the Maine Turnpike (I-95) in West Gardiner, just south of Augusta. There is a toll plaza where all motorists must pay a toll after leaving the turnpike. Exit 51 is for Lewiston Road (ME 9/ME 126). It is located just after the toll and can only be accessed from the cash lanes. The West Gardiner Service Plaza is at this exit.
