The roadway splits. Bear left to stay on MA 3. Embankment Road continues straight ahead as MA 28 for one exit before becoming Storrow Drive.

The ramp ends at a stop sign. Turn right onto the Longfellow Bridge to stay on MA 3.

The Longfellow Bridge carries MA 3 across the Charles River to Cambridge.

On the other side of the bridge, there is an exit for Memorial Drive on the right. Main Street is straight ahead. Take the exit to stay on MA 3. The signage erroneously indicates that Memorial Drive is designated US 3 here, but the designation doesn't change until a short distance further.

There is a grade-separated interchange at Massachusetts Avenue (MA 2A). Memorial Drive changes designation here to become US 3, although there is no signage to indicate so.
