Main Street runs north through Rocky Hill as a two-lane undivided road.

The roads widens to four lanes. There is an intersection with Elm Street (CT 160) and Glastonbury Avenue (CT 160) at a traffic light. At this point, CT 99 changes names to become Silas Deane Highway.

There is an interchange with the Wilbur Cross Highway (US 5/CT 15). Immediately thereafter, CT 99 ends at the Hartford city. Silas Deane Highway becomes Wethersfield Avenue.
