CT 99 is a north/south route through the area south of Hartford. It begins as a two-lane undivided road at the CT 9 expressway in Cromwell. The southern section is called Main Street. In Rocky Hill, CT 99 widens to four lanes and changes names to become Silas Deane Highway. It continues north through Wethersfield. At the Hartford city line, there is an interchange with the Wilbur Cross Highway (US 5/CT 15). CT 99 ends at this point.
