CT 175 is a short east/west route extending from New Britain to Wethersfield. Allen Street takes on the CT 175 designation at its intersection with Stanley Street (CT 71). It runs east for a couple of blocks before ending at East Street. CT 175 turns north onto East Street, which curves back to the east to have a partial interchange with the CT 9 expressway and become Cedar Street. CT 175 continues east for a few miles, changing names to become East Cedar Street and then Wells Road. Along the way, it has a grade-separated interchange with the Berlin Turnpike (US 5/CT 15). It ends at Silas Deane Highway (CT 99) in Wethersfield.
