CT 22 is multiplexed with US 5 for a short distance in North Haven. Turn right for an entrance to I-91. Continue straight ahead for access to the Wilbur Cross Parkway (CT 15).

The two routes split at a traffic light. Turn left onto State Street for US 5. Continue straight ahead onto Bishop Street for CT 22.

After the parkway, Bishop Street narrows down to two lanes. After a short distance, it changes name to become Ridge Road.

Ridge Road passes over the Mount Carmel Connector (CT 40). There is no entrance or exit. At the end of the overpass, turn right onto Davis Road to stay on CT 22.

Welcome to Hamden! At the town line, CT 22 changes names yet again to become Broadway. Broadway passes under the Mount Carmel Connector (CT 40). Once again, there is no entrance or exit.

CT 22 ends at a traffic light at Whitney Avenue (CT 10). Turn right to go north or left to go south. The Mount Carmel Connector (CT 40) begins at Whitney Avenue (CT 10) just south of here.
