Welcome to Connecticut! I-84 is known as the Yankee Expressway here. Exit 1, which is for Saw Mill Road, is located in New York just before the border when travelling in this direction. Exit 2 is for Mill Plain Road (US 6/US 202) and Old Ridgebury Road.

Exit 3 is for US 7 south. Northbound US 7 is multiplexed with I-84 along the Yankee Expressway straight ahead.

Exit 4 is for Lake Avenue (US 6/US 202) west. Eastbound US 6 and US 202 are multiplexed with I-84 along the Yankee Expressway straight ahead.

There are now three other routes, US 7, US 6, and US 202, multiplexed with I-84 along the Yankee Expressway. Exit 5 is for North Street (CT 37), Clapboard Ridge Road (CT 39) north, and Main Street (CT 53) south.

Exit 7 is for US 7 north, which splits off here to become a separate expressway. US 202 east also splits off here and is multiplexed with US 7 north for one exit. US 6 remains multiplexed with I-84 for one more exit.

Exit 8 is for Newtown Road (US 6) east. The two routes split here, and the Yankee Expressway continues as just I-84.
