After the tollbooth, the speed limit rises back to 70 MPH. Exit 8 is for US 119 and PA 857.

Coming into Uniontown, there speed limit drops to 65 MPH and then 55 MPH. There are unnumbered exits for Morgantown Road (US 119) south and US 40 east. Straight ahead, PA 43 is multiplexed with US 119 north and US 40 west for a few miles.
