Indian Head Road begins at Main Street (NY 25A) in Kings Park. Immediately, there is a railroad crossing.

Further south, Indian Head Road widens to four lanes and the speed limit goes up to 40 MPH. There is a traffic light at Old Northport Road.

Indian Head Road ends at a traffic light at Jericho Turnpike (NY 25). Turn left to go east. Turn right to west and for an entrance to the Sunken Meadow Parkway south. Harned Road is straight ahead.
