Weaver Street runs south as a two-lane undivided road. It is very curvy and presumably takes it name from how it weaves back and forth.

An overpass carries Weaver Street over the New England Thruway (I-95) and the New Haven Line of the Metro-North Railroad, but there is no interchange.
