Weaver Street begins at Boston Post Road (US 1) in Larchmont and runs north as a two-lane undivided road. There is no signage with the route number here.

An overpass carries Weaver Street over the New Haven Line of the Metro-North Railroad and the New England Thruway (I-95), but there is no interchange.

Weaver Street continues north. It is very curvy and presumably takes its name from how it weaves back and forth. There is a single reassurance shield for NY 125 along this stretch, but it is otherwise unsigned in the area.

Turn left at the second traffic light for the Heathcote Bypass (CR 143), which begins here. There are a couple of signs here marking it as Bypass NY 125, but this designation is overwise unsigned. An overhead sign recommends using the bypass as the quickest route north to White Plains.

Weaver Street ends at a traffic light. Turn right onto Palmer Avenue to stay on NY 125. Heathcote Road is straight ahead.

Palmer Avenue changes names to become Secor Road. There is a traffic light at the northern terminus of the Heathcote Bypass (CR 143). Continue straight ahead to stay on NY 125.

Mamaroneck Avenue runs north as a four-lane undivided road. There are traffic lights at Rutherford Avenue, Carhart Avenue, and Maple Avenue.

NY 125 ends at a traffic light at East Post Road (NY 22). Turn right to go north or left to go south. There is no route signage at this intersection. Mamaroneck Avenue continues straight ahead as a local street for a few more blocks to Main Street (NY 119).
