Atlantic Avenue begins at the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (I-278) near the East River and runs east through Brooklyn as a four-lane undivided road. There are oversized street name signs at Henry Street, Clinton Street, Court Street, Boerum Place/Brooklyn Bridge Boulevard, 3 Avenue, and 4 Avenue.
