Park Street begins at the southern terminus of the Nassau Expressway (NY 878) in Atlantic Beach. There is an entrance on the left to go back north over the Atlantic Beach Bridge to Lawrence.

Park Street runs east through Atlantic Beach as a four-lane undivided road. The cross streets in this area are in alphabetical order and are named after counties in New York State, beginning with Albany and ending with Yates.

The road curves slightly and changes names to become Beech Street.

There is another curve just before the Long Beach city line. Beech Street becomes a divided road while going around this curve.

At the city line, Beech Street narrows down to two lanes, and CR 22 ends. Beech Street continues straight ahead into Long Beach as a local street.
