Exit 6 is for the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) and US 130. At this point, I-95 leaves the mainline of the turnpike and runs east as a turnpike extension to the New Jersey-Pennsylvania state line. There are no signs to indicate this, although that will change in the future once the I-95/I-276 interchange is completed in Pennsylvania. Notice the space to the left of the I-276 shield on the signs, which was presumably left so that the signs can be modified to read "I-95 TO I-276." Take exit 6 to stay on I-95. The mainline of the turnpike continues straight ahead with the unsigned designation of NJ 700.

The various ramps for exit 6 come together to form a turnpike extension heading west.

After a short distance, there is a toll barrier. All motorists who do not have E-ZPass must hand in their tickets and pay a toll depending on how far they have travelled on the turnpike.

Just past the toll, there is an unnumbered exit for US 130.

Straight ahead, the Delaware River Bridge crosses the Delaware River to Pennsylvania. I-95 continues on the other side of the bridge as the Pennsylvania Turnpike and then splits off to become the Delaware Expressway. There is advance signage for exit 42, the first exit on I-95 in Pennsylvania.
