US 19 is a major north/south route extending from Memphis, Florida, to Erie, Pennsylvania. The section in West Virginia runs down the center of the state. It enters the state from Virginia in Bluefield and runs north, running near I-77 and I-79 to eventually pass through Morgantown. It then crosses into Pennsylvania.
