North Ocean Avenue runs north as a six-lane divided road.

There is a traffic light at Horseblock Road (CR 16). Turn right to go east or left to go west.

The speed limit goes up to 55 MPH as North Ocean Avenue becomes Patchogue-Mount Sinai Road. There is a grade-separated interchange with Bicycle Path, which is the name of a street, not an actual bicycle path.

There is a Vietnam veterans memorial in the center median, along with a crossover. Patchogue-Mount Sinai Road narrows down to two lanes in each direction as it goes downhill with some nice views.
