Great Neck Road is a short diagonal route extending from Copiague to Farmingdale in the southwestern corner of Suffolk County. It begins at Montauk Highway (NY 27A) and runs north and northwest. It has a grade-separated interchange with Sunrise Highway (NY 27) and crosses the Southern Parkway with no interchange. Shortly thereafter, Great Neck Road ends at Broad Hollow Road (NY 110), changing names to become Main Street. After one block, it crosses into Nassau County and loses the CR 47 designation. Main Street continues into Nassau County as an unnumbered county route that eventually becomes Bethpage Road and the Round Swamp Road (CR 110).
