CR 7B is a north/south route on the South Shore in Nassau County. South Main Street begins at Cow Meadow Park in Freeport and runs north as an unnumbered county route to Merrick Road (CR 27), where the CR 7B designation begins. After a block, it crosses Sunrise Highway (NY 27) and changes names to become North Main Street. Upon leaving Freeport, it changes names again to become Nassau Road. It runs north and northwest through Roosevelt and Hempstead, passing through an interchange with the Southern Parkway. In Hempstead, it undergoes one final name change to become Greenwich Street. It ends at Front Street (NY 102/CR 106) in Hempstead.
