Wantagh Avenue is a north/south route in southern Nassau. It begins at Merrick Road (CR 27) in Wantagh and runs north to Hicksville Road (NY 107) in Bethpage. Wantagh Avenue is a two- to four-lane road with traffic lights. Most of it is undivided with four lanes. Prior to 1972, Wantagh Avenue was a state route with the designation of NY 115.
