CR 28 is an east/west route running from Wappingers Falls to Hopewell Junction. It begins at Main Street in Wappingers Falls near the New Hamburg train station. The first section, which extends for about half a mile to NY 9D, is known as New Hamburg Road. Upon crossing NY 9D, New Hamburg Road changes names to become Old Hopewell Road. It continues east past US 9 and then for several miles to NY 82 in Hopewell Junction, where it ends.
