CR 2 begins in Wassaic. As CR 3 turns from South Amenia Road onto Kent Road, South Amenia Road continues north as CR 2.

There is a stop sign at the border with Connecticut. Bear right to stay on Amenia Union Road, which continues into Connecticut as CT 41. Bear left onto Leedsville Road to remain in New York and continue north on CR 3. There is no route signage at this intersection for motorists travelling in this direction.
