These pictures show the Bayonne Bridge as it appeared while construction work was in progress to raise the roadway so that tall ships could pass under the bridge. At the time, only half of the new roadway was open.

This sign giving an emergency aid phone number was found on the Bayonne Bridge. It has been removed.
