NJ 93 begins at the NJ 4 freeway and runs south as Grand Avenue. The portion of Grand Avenue north of the interchange is designated CR 501, and the two designations are multiplexed to the south. There is a traffic light at Sheffield Avenue.

Grand Avenue intersects West Central Boulevard at a traffic light. CR 501 splits off from NJ 93 here. Turn left for CR 501. Continue straight ahead on Grand Avenue to stay on NJ 93.

There is an interchange with US 46. Turn right at the first light to go west and for access to the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95). There is no eastbound entrance here.
