Welcome to New Jersey! I-95 enters the state via the Delaware River Bridge. The first section is an extension of the New Jersey Turnpike. There is an unnumbered exit for US 130.

Just past the exit, there is a tollbooth. Motorists who do not have E-ZPass must get a ticket indicating where the got onto the turnpike.

The extension ends at the mainline of the New Jersey Turnpike. The portion south of this point has an unsigned designation of NJ 700. There is an exit on the right to go south. I-95 continues straight ahead onto the mainline of the turnpike heading north.

The roadway divides into two sets of parallel lanes before merging into the mainline of the New Jersey Turnpike. Cars may use either set of lanes. Trucks and buses must use the outer lanes.

I-95 runs north along the mainline of the New Jersey Turnpike. Exit 7 is for US 206.
