MD 24 is a north/south route from Edgewood to the Pennsylvania border near Fawn Grove. It begins at Aberdeen Proving Ground, a military facility. The first section is known as Emmorton Road. There is an interchange with Pulaski Highway (US 40), and then it changes names to become Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway. It is a four-lane divided highway with a mixture of traffic lights and some grade-separated interchanges. Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway ends at the Belair Bypass (US 1). It is multiplexed with US 1 for one exit and then splits off onto Rock Spring Road. At East-West Highway (MD 23), it changes names to become Rocks Road and then continues north to the state line. Rocks Road continues into Pennsylvania.
