Cecil Avenue runs west as a two-lane undivided road.

Heading out of town, Cecil Avenue becomes Old Philadelphia Road. There is a low, narrow underpass as MD 7 crosses the Northeast Corridor, the Amtrak line running from Washington to Boston.

Old Philadelphia Road continues to the west. The Northeast Corridor railroad tracks are visible on the left in some places. MD 267 looks off to the south through Charlestown.

Old Philadelphia Road ends at a stop sign at Pulaski Highway (US 40). Turn right to go east or left to go west.
