Ball Pond Road ends at a traffic light at King Street and Padanaram Road. Continue straight ahead onto Clapboard Ridge Road to stay on CT 39.

Coming into the downtown area of Danbury, Clapboard Ridge Road becomes Main Street. There is an interchange with the Yankee Expressway (I-84/US 7). US 6 and US 202 are also routed along the expressway in this area, but the signage does not make note of this.

CT 39 ends here at this traffic light. Main Street continues straight ahead as CT 53. North Street (CT 37) begins on the left. Downs Street (SR 841) is to the right. This is a somewhat unusual intersection in that it has three state routes all ending at each other.
