US 50 is a major east/west route crossing the country from West Sacramento, California, to Ocean City, Maryland. The portion is divided into two sections by a brief portion in Maryland, passing through the corner of the state's western panhandle. This page covers the eastern section in West Virginia. This section is a two-lane undivided road. The largest town through which it passes is Romney. Eventually, it reaches Virginia and continues east toward Washington, DC.
